Job: Graphic Designer – Community Logo & Information Board Project

Project Title: Celebrating the Twinning of Llanrwst and San Vito dei Normanni
Location: Llanrwst
Project Overview: We are seeking a creative and community-focused Graphic Designer to collaborate with children and young people in Llanrwst to design a new logo and an accompanying information board celebrating the Town’s twinning with San Vito dei Normanni in Italy. The project will be participatory and educational, encouraging young people to explore the cultural links between the two Towns while contributing their own ideas and artwork. The final outputs will include a professionally designed logo and a permanent information board to be displayed in a public space in Llanrwst - near the old prisoner of war camp.

Project Objectives:

• Engage local children and young people in a creative design process.
• Develop a logo representing the friendship and cultural connection between Llanrwst and San Vito dei Normanni.
• Produce an accessible and visually engaging information board explaining the history and significance of the town twinning.
• Celebrate international friendship, cultural exchange, and community identity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver a small number of creative workshops with children and young people in local schools.
• Introduce participants to basic design concepts such as symbols, colour, and storytelling through visual design.
• Facilitate idea generation and collect sketches, themes, and imagery from participants.
• Translate participants’ ideas into a final professional logo design.
• Design a high-quality information board incorporating the logo, illustrations, and accessible text about the twinning relationship.
• Ensure the design is suitable for outdoor display and production.
• Work collaboratively with the project organisers and local partners (e.g., schools and Town Council).
