Councillors’ Payments

The Welsh Government has appointed an Independent Remuneration Panel to determine the principles underpinning and the level of remuneration for councillors – elected and co-opted within town and Community Councils in Wales. Details of the Panel, the legislation within which it operates and its Annual Reports and Determinations can be found at the Panel’s website - http://irpw.gov.wales.

The Llanrwst Town Council has adopted a Scheme of Payments to its elected members which is reviewed and as necessary revised annually to reflect the determinations of the Independent Panel.

The Town Council is required to maintain and make available the full details of payments made and, by 30th September of each year, to publicise the details of payments made within its area.
