Grants & Donations

Each year the Town Council sets aside a sum of money from which it makes donations to local good causes, organisations and occasionally, individuals and through which money, it is able to respond to certain appeals.

From this money, the Town Council makes an annual donation to several organisations whose work and activities are considered of significant benefit to the Town and Community.

In addition, the Town Council receives and responds to a number of one-off applications for grants or donations. These are considered on their individual merits and, where approved, are normally limited to a maximum grant of £1000.
